International Cost of Living Rankings July 2009

The most expensive global location to live in, as at July 2009, is still Tokyo Japan, however there have been some significant changes in the last year mainly due to large differences in exchange rates, and more recently, a real drop in prices along with the majority of global locations enjoying their lowest inflation rates in recent times. Tokyo’s cost of living index only increased by 1.4% from July 2008 to July 2009, but is 16 index points clear of 2nd placed Hong Kong (11th in July 2008).

Miracle: One child survivor

Rescuers found one child survivor of a Yemeni airliner that crashed off the coast of the Indian Ocean archipelago of Comoros early yesterday, a hospital official confirmed. “A child was found alive. Bad weather reports are announced from Moroni. Flight IY-626  from Sana’a to Moroni ,  about 142 passengers and 11 crewmembers are missing. Girl, 14, survives Indian Ocean air crash but 152 people feared dead

By Calvin Palmer A teenage girl has been rescued from the Indian Ocean after a Yemenia Air flight from Paris, carrying 153 people, crashed off the Comoros Islands today.
