Influences Caraïbes: Caribbean festival in Paris

This fall, from the 20th of october to the 17th of november, Paris is adorning with caribbean colors, rythms and images. The itinerary of the festival will take you throughout the City to discover the Caribbean Influences in Paris.

BEYOND THE FRONTIERS: UNITY AND DIVERSITY OF THE CARIBBEAN

This year, the fest is opening up to the whole Caribbean, the Great Caribbean, welcoming artists from little known regions such as Haïti or the Guianas. The festival is also the occasion to discover the impact of Caribbean Diasporas on European cultural and social life. Influences Caraïbes seeks to establish true dialogues between people of different origins and generations.

BEYOND THE CLICHES: CONTEMPORARY CARIBBEAN

More than 60 artists and lecturers are going to share their works, arts and thoughts on the “Caribbean Influences” with the Parisian audience. In various areas, Barbara Prézeau, Maxence Denis, Prince Koloni, Dédé St Prix, Gabriel Rios, among others, will display their works and art, often the results of subtle mixes of tradition and modernity

BEYOND THE SHOW: A CARIBBEAN ITINERARY ACROSS PARIS

Cultural and linguistic encounters are at the heart of the event with a true wish to make culture attainable to the broadest audience. The festival and above all the visual arts exhibition will take people from a place to another, from a café in Montmartre to a Gallery in Château Rouge, from a concert hall in Pigalle to a conference room on the boulevard Raspail, enhancing intercultural dialogues. The “kids’ visual arts preview”, the creole workshops as well as the call for short movies will contribute to make Paris the capital of the Caribbean next fall.
