Biography of Exile One

Exile One is one Modern Caribbean and Creole music most influencial figure. Gordon Henderson is the leader and founder of the famous musical group "Exile One" and the one who coined the name "Cadence-lypso", a style of music that fused Calypso with Cadence-rampa (a derivative of Compas) and the American Funk. Cadence-lypso revolutionized Creole music worldwide, eventually becomming part of styles such as Zouk. It was after the Trinidadian Calypsonian "shorty" heard Exile one's music on a visit to Dominica that he baptizeed his music Soca with a song "ou petit" bearing creole lyrics. The famous Haitian group Tabou Combo gracefully acknoledged at the World Creole Music Festival in 1998 that they introduced cadence-lypso influenced horns to Compas because of Exile One. Exile One was the most innovative and exportable Creole band of the Caribbean. The first to sign a production contract with a major label Barclay and The first to export the Cadence musical wave to the four corners of the globe: Japan, the Indian Ocean, Africa, North America, Europe, The Cape Verde Islands
