Afro jazz maestro, Lister Boleseng, is expected to invade the Northern region during the Easter holidays. During the holidays, Lister will perform in Francistown and Maun in a show dubbed the Easter Jazz Tour. The last leg of the tour will be in Orapa on April 18.

The newly-elected chairperson of the Botswana Musicians Union (BOMU), Socca Moruakgomo raised eyebrows for using a South African backing band during the Afro Jazz Festival held at the Fairgrounds on Saturday.
Sonia, Nigerian-born, Italy-based Afro Jazz act, was by the stage in Italy on Sunday night when legendary South African musician, Miriam Makeba, performed her last song before passing away a few minutes later at the age of 76. Makeba died in the emergency room of the Pineta Grande Clinic, a private facility in Castel Volturno, near Naples, after an apparent heart attack.
The Afro Jazz Tour 2008, which started in Francistown, moves south this weekend with the first show being staged at the Botswana Marketing Crafts courtyard on Friday.
