Ghanzi, Botswana

A cheetah and mom and three juvenile cubs survey the savannah from a small mound in Kenya, East Africa. The fastest of all land animals, cheetahs can attain speeds of up to 70 mph.

The White-browed Coucal, the most common of the coucals, perches on a dense thicket in Kenya, East Africa. A coucal is a member of the cuckoo family, and has a white stripe (superciliary stripe) above the eye in all plumages.

A serval cat, with its long legs and its extremely large ears, pauses while hunting in the tall grasslands of Kenya, East Africa. Its main habitat is the savanna, where its sensitive ears are used to detect rodent prey in the grass or underground.

The Black-backed Jackal, also known as Silver-backed Jackal, surveys its territoy from a fallen tree trunk in Kenya, East Africa. A wide variety of African habitats are home to jackals, such as savannah and open woodlands.

I couldn't believe this actually happens but goats in Morocco climb thorn-covered Argan trees and eat the leaves.
An impressive feat. Especially considering that goats do not have fingers or toes.
