Tablet Data Collection

CRS technical agent Luc Ido collects data with an iPad application as part of the CRS/USDA funded RECOLTE project in Sissili Province, Burkina Faso on December 14, 2017. Luc covers the Ziro zone of Sisssili and assists farmers during the production of their organic cotton. The Revenue through Cotton Livelihoods Trade and Equity (RECOLTE) 1.8 million organic cotton promotion project runs from 2013-2018 and serves 10,000 beneficiaries directly and 50,000 indirectly. It's initial goal was to guarantee a market that would act as an incentive for vulnerable, smallholder farmers in Burkina Faso to double the production of certified organic and fair trade cotton by 2018. Partners in the project are Cotton Farmers’ Union in Burkina Faso (UNPCB), AgriLife Center, Texas A&M, USA, Agriculture Research Institute, Burkina Faso.
