Moineau Roux (passer rufocinctus) - Rufous Sparrow

21 february 2010 : Lion Hill Forest (Nakuru - Kenya) : watching at this bird from far, it seems like European's House Sparrow, but, with a close view and with a little ray of sunshine, you can admire its beautiful rufous color !

Coliou Huppé (colius striatus kikuyuensis) - Speckled Mousebird

21 february 2010 : Lion Hill Forest (Nakuru - Kenya) : return to the lodge, the camera is repaired and it's again a festival of various birds ! The Mousebirds are not easy to catch, they have a very large tail, but are often hidden in high and dense treetops, and they are always moving in acrobatic positions ! Their English name (Mouse-bird) came from their habit of scampering mouse-like along branches ! They climb well, using bill and feet !
