Lloyd Phiri, a fisherman from Senga Bay on Lake Malawi’s shores in Malawi’s central region, knows that the lake’s water levels are dropping. He can see it in his catch, which has shrunk by more than 80 percent in recent years.
Hammered Gold
The sun sets over Lake Malawi - seen from a rock high on the hillside of Domwe Island.
Inside Out
If there's a point where people let self-consciousness about their clothing take away their happiness - this girl had not yet reached it.
Launch
This manmade lake offers some great canoeing.
Moonbeams
I walked outside this night and was amazed to see these brilliant moonbeams in the sky. I rushed back in the house, grabbed a tripod and camera, and got off this 30 second exposure before it started to disappear.
Incongruous
Something about a wild baboon sitting in a pine tree, eating a mango seemed very out of place to me.
However, on the Zomba Plateau, the British planted extensive pine plantations to develop a paper industry. The indigenous baboons just adapted to a different kind of tree, and still found plenty of the familiar foods, like mangos, in the remaining forest. So for the residents of this mountain, this is not an unusual sight at all.

Tulip Tree
What other name could this have?!
Well - African Tulip Tree, because it seems that the name "tulip tree" in the US is given to magnolia ...
