West Africa Emergency - Mother from Mauritania
Mint Assid Mana, mother of 8, with her youngest daughter who is suffering from malnutrition. The community of Natriguel, where she lives, is at risk from the drought and lack of food.
"My daughter is malnourished, she's still needing treatment. I have no money to buy food for myself, I try to leave whatever food I have to the children, but that's not even enough"

Dja Abdullah, has walked 300 km with his cattle in search of fresh pasture. Each day he has to kill 2 of the cattle for food. Like others living in the Sahel region of Mauritania his community is at risk from food insecurity due to the lack of rain and rising food prices
