During the First World war - Canada, the country with the population in 7.8 million, mobilized in excess of 650 thousand person. Over one million Canadians battled on fronts of the Second World war, and nearby 45.000 were lost. The Canadian navy fleet was the third on size, and military-air forces - the fourth on number during the Second World war. The Canadian militarians accepted and planets take part in peace-making missions of the United Nations and NATO in " hot points ": Congo, in Kosovo, in the Chechen Republic, in Persian gulf (1990-91). Now more than 4.000 Canadian militarians serve in various places of Globe. 800 person are now in Afghanistan, the Canadian military ships patrol waters in the Near East.
