Fri, 16 May 2008 12:48:01 -0700This Global Love Day presentation on May 1, 2008 was conducted and hosted by Joseph Lukwago in Uganda. Joseph is a designated Love Ambassador by The Love Foundation, head of Kyazanga Modern Primary School and CURE (Center for Uganda Rural Empowerment) in Kampala, Uganda. His inspired event was to walk to various rural families and share unconditional love with each. He and his Mom took the eight Bright Hearts and shared the day with several families. A true example of the GLD theme "love begins with me" Joseph and his group brought love and compassion to those in need. Global Love Day is an annual celebration of humanity celebrated in countries and communities around the world each May 1st. In the summer of 2007 4 students traveled to Uganda to volunteer at the partnership. A ceremony was held to officially open the partnership. The DMP sponsors 20 war affected children for their school fees as well as runs an after school program open to the community.
