Dream Count — The Inventory of Dreams

Dream Count, published in English in February 2025 by Fourth Estate (HarperCollins), is the sixth novel by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. In French, it will be published under the title L’Inventaire des rêves.

After twelve years of waiting, Adichie returns with a work composed of interwoven short stories following four Nigerian and Guinean women in America — a travel writer, a lawyer, a graduate student, and a cleaner — confronted with love, exile, and sexism.

Praised by The Guardian for its prose “clear as glass panes”, the book is on the longlist of the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2025.
