Remember Ruben (1974)

Remember Ruben, subtitled The Almost Ridiculous Ruin of a Punch and Judy Character, is the first installment of a trilogy that follows Mongo Beti’s political and militant engagement after fourteen years of silence.

This baroque novel, published in the collection Les Enfants du peuple, revisits the assassination of Ruben Um Nyobé, a hero of Cameroonian independence, through a satirical and committed epic.
