The Girl with Magic Hands

Chidera, a child unloved by her own, meets in the forest uli spirits who trace a tattoo on her hand and awaken her gift for drawing. Her patterns transform the Igbo territory’s sadness into joy: a silent revolution through art. A story first published as a short story (2013), superbly illustrated by Zariel for ActuSF.
