Quadrille (Antilles)
The quadrille is a Creole dance and music of the Antilles, introduced by French colonists in the 17th–19th centuries. It is a group dance in square formation (hence the name « quadrille ») with coordinated step movements and figures.
The quadrille is a living tradition in Guadeloupe and Martinique, where it is performed during local festivals and carnival.
