Reggaeton (Puerto Rico/Latin America)
Reggaeton is a musical style born in Puerto Rico in the 1990s, derived from Jamaican dembow and influenced by American hip-hop. It is an electronic dancehall music, played with synthesizers and fast beats.
Although Latin American, reggaeton has influenced Caribbean and African music. Reggaeton-Latin fusions with afrobeats are common (as in the remixes of Bad Bunny and Wizkid, or Sean Paul).
