African Rhythm & Blues (R&B)
Rhythm & Blues has influenced African popular music since the 1950s, notably through imported records and amateur radio. African R&B combines American R&B influences with local rhythms and melodies.
Highlife, soukous, and afrobeats artists incorporate R&B elements into their compositions.
