Back in Malabar this time with Chris and Lina, we order the chicharon the cuy or guinea pig, this is perfectly crispy on the outside and extremly melting in your mouth tender inside.

Guinea pig has been a source of protein in the Andes for thousands of years.

This is what the Sunset From Room 736 of the Blau hotel Varadero looked like most evenings.

Opposite the Jose' Marti Memorial that features a 109 metre ( 358 feet ) tall tower and an 18 metre ( 59 feet ) statue of Jose' Marti are the principal government ministries, including Fidel Castro's headquarters, the National Library and the Ministry of the Interior, featuring this huge mural of Che Guevara. I think Fidel learnt a great deal from the Russians and the likes of Lenin and maybe Sadam, and that it is safer to make a hero more of someone who has already passed on rather than the current leader. I think this is the reason that Che Guevara's image is seen all over Cuba, much more than Fidel's (at least in terms of permanent statues / monuments), for now at least that is......

You can't go more than a minute without seeing some old relic from the 1950's on the streets of Havana.

Che is still big business....

The Capitolio is located in the quarted called Centro Habana, just next to the old city. The building is almost an exact replica of the Washington DC Capitol building only just a bit bigger and more nicely decorated. Originally built to house the Cuban parliament, it now houses the ministry of science and a big library.

Known the world over this was taken at the Club Tropicana Show in Havana.
