Yellow-Billed Stork

Yellow-billed stork seen at near the Third Bridge Camp at Moremi in the Okavango Delta, northern Botswana.

"The yellow-billed stork (Mycteria ibis), sometimes also called the wood stork or wood ibis, is a large African wading stork species in the family Ciconiidae. The yellow-billed stork occurs primarily in Eastern Africa, but is widely distributed in areas extending from Senegal and Somalia down to South Africa and in some regions of western Madagascar. During one observation of a mixed species bird colony on the Tana River in Kenya, it was found to be the commonest species there, with 2000 individuals being counted at once."

A log... Um... No....

We found this large crocodile lying semi-submerged in some thick cotton-soil mud... It was not till it opened it's emerald green eye, did we actually notice it... As the boat drifted closer, and it raised it's head to get a better look at us, we saw what a big guy he was...
