Veiled Chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus)

October 26, 2008 Atlanta Ga, United States, North America.
.
This large male Veiled Chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus) at the 2008 Georgia Reptile Expo is able to change his color. Adept at mimicking a leaf in a tree because of both their color and shape, and the slow pace at which they move, chameleons are arboreal omnivores primarily from Madagascar and Africa, though some varieties are native to Southern Asia, and parts of Europe.
