Hunger Crisis in Niger and Mali

Video about the work organizations such as Action Against Hunger do to end the severe hunger crisis in Niger and Mali, only two of the many countries that are affected. This short video explains the causes of this crisis and describes how the most vulnerable are children. It shows infant feeding centers in Niger and the work done there in an attempt to save the young children from near death.

In some ways this waterfall is even more impressive than its larger (and much more often visited) counterpart, couple of kilometres upstream.

This one is so well hidden I could've easily walked by just a few metres away, without noticing it, if it weren't for the signpost.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to explore around it and find a way to the bottom to view it from below. So this is all I got (and even this was quite a feat - see below).

Besides, the light was very photo-unfriendly. Sun was beating down, creating such strong contrasts, that either shadows on the shots were completely black or the water was totally burnt out. I tried to make a HDR from the RAW image, but for some reason it doesn't work either - seems total crap.

So this is the best compromise I could do. Of course it doesn't do justice to the real thing - not by far. The feeling of the rushing water, it's cold spray and the noise is quite overwhelming.
