Egyptian Soccer Fan

The craze that attacked Egypt and the streets of Cairo and still prevailing among all sectors of the society. Everyone is a soccer fan from Cab drivers (Like the picture here) to the most respected polititions and prostitutes. All came united for the first time in decades to support our national team make it to the 2010 World Cup! but the wind blew in a different direction and so did the ship sail..

Kamal Fanous, on a very bad day. Walking the streets of Alexandria where he was born and raised brings up soo many great memories but walking pointless is not one of my father's best hobbies! If you dont have a plan you are in trouble. Waiting for my husband in law to try on a local leather made shoes which he tried for hours but never bought :) The moral of the story I was able to snap my old man in a very bad mood yet he still looks good!

I remember as I was shooting this scene saying to Cryno that the pyramid and lights combined for some bizarre reason reminded me of the film: 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind.' and then this tourist lady just popped up from nowhere and I though great, a potential Martin Parr moment... click.. The image still makes me laugh..
