Based on a photo by babsteve (Steve Evans) although I added a (not very well drawn) hand. Just experimenting with the Ethiopian flag in the background.

I think this was about a week after Timkat, not sure exactly what the festival was but it was pretty colourful.

Elderly priest reading from the bible outside of Bet Golgotha, King Lalibella is supposedly buried under this church, this is the only church in Lalibella which prohibits women from entering.

This was taken on the first day of the Adaba Dodola mountain trekking, After buying supplies and arranging a 4wd to take us out it was quite late when we arrived at Changeti, our 1st and most basic camp

On the 1st morning of the trek we bumped into this father and son riding their flower be-decked horses, turns out they were off to the sons wedding.

Asela is the Capital of Ethiopia's little visited Arsi province, although a little dull it's a friendly laid back town. So few toursits come here that I can afford the best hotel in town as the prices aren't inflated.

This was the third day and I believe the stream was called Wideka we were trekking from Mololicho to Duro.

Bet Imanuel is in the south east cluster of Lalibellas rock hewn churches. This was the private church of the royal Family and is one of Lalibella's finest

This is lake hora in Bishoftu (also known as Debre Zeyit). Bishoftu is one of my favourite places in Ethiopia as it's so relaxing and there is little hassle, especially compared with nearby Addis Ababa.

Ist photo I took on the trek after catching my breath from the hike up (and up and up and up) from the jeep track.

Taking a break on the first morning, this was a long day we trekked Changeti - Angafu (lunch break at the camp here) - Adele where we stopped for the night.
