Abandonné
Sur les hauteurs de Mamoudzou (Mayotte), un enfant curieux de voir un "intrus" dans son banga, veut s'assurer que ce dernier est bien parti.

After all hope was lost, all we could do was laugh.
Load-In
Setting up the stage and negotiating with the proud owner of the drum kit (the best one on the whole island). Eventually, we were allowed to set it up the way we wanted.
PA Truck
The PA company 'Tek Audio' had such top-shelf brands as 'Shure', 'Yamaha' and 'Berhinger'. They were proud of it too.
Unloading the ferry
The crowd of people getting off the boat on mainland Mayotte.
FOH Mix in Mayotte
FOH Control at Mayotte. Needless to say, this was not what I asked for on the rider.
Union Labour hard at work
The drum kit's owner's son was his roadie for the day. He could barely lift this floor tom.
Vintage Analog Delay
Vintage Ibanez Analog Delay unit. Unfortunately due to other time critical issues, I never got to use it.
Unpacking the drum kit
Putting the local staff to rights.
Beer Mountain
A huge quantity of terrible, warm, local Mayotte lager.
Box Office
The box office was essentially made by removing a pane of glass from the window and replacing it with a sheet of wood featuring a half-oval shaped cut-out and a shelf.
PA Stage Left
They didn't have enough of 1 brand of PA, so they gave us 2 different ones instead and pointed them at the same place.
View from Stage
The view of the concrete basketball court venue and head-height lamps in Mayotte.
Press Conference
